Our Vision

At Main Street Community Living, we aim to create a supportive and inclusive community. Our focus is on providing resources and support to enhance the lives of each of our residents.

Why Sober Living Housing Is Essential To Recovery

Main Street Community Living

Substance use disorder is a nationwide public health crisis, impacting more than 20 million adults in the United States each year. Studies consistently show that environmental factors—such as unstable or chaotic home environments, parental substance use, peer influence, and community norms around drugs and alcohol—significantly increase the risk of addiction and relapse, particularly during early recovery.

Research also shows that individuals who live in structured, substance-free housing with peer support experience higher rates of long-term sobriety, employment stability, and reduced involvement with emergency services and the criminal justice system. Sober living environments like ours help bridge the gap between treatment and independent living by providing accountability, routine, and community connection.

As a sober living community, our purpose is to provide safe, affordable, and structured housing while residents learn how to live a new life in recovery. Through peer accountability, spiritual guidance, and daily structure, residents build the practical skills and emotional resilience needed for sustainable sobriety.

Main Street Community Living exists to break cycles of addiction, reduce relapse risk, and support long-term recovery—creating measurable benefits not only for our residents, but for the broader South Carolina communities we serve.
